Our Story

Aluminum Extrusion Technologies is family owned and operated since 1981. We have carved our niche in the aluminum industry as extrusion die specialists.

Capabilities

AET has a capacity of 15 CNC machining centers, 14 CNC EDM machines, and a support of other machines making 6" to 20" diameter tooling. We are excited to have expanded our facilty to greater than 26,000 sq.ft. to aquire better turn arounds for our customers' larger orders. Coming Soon: up to 26" diameter + tooling

Quotations and Order Processing

Orders are processed quickly with confirmation of order reception in emailed receipt.

Quality H-13 tool steel

All tooling is made of 100% H-13 alloy tool steel CNC sawed to order 6" to 26" diameter.

CNC lathe

All tooling is CNC lathe turned according to print to ensure proper diameter and thickness tolerances are maintained. All programs are logged according to customer print and kept for future orders.

Design and CNC programming

All designing is done from customer's supplied geometry. CAM programming uses the designed geometry to produce toolpaths and manage our tool libraries.

CNC milling

All Parts, from dies to support tooling, are precisely made in our CNC milling machine centers. Our abilities to control the bearing lengths and transitions has allowed our customers to experience large gains in pounds per hour on their specific extrusion profiles over other competition die vendors. These gains allow new volumes to be added to our customer's press schedule. Customer tooling information is CNC stenciled into every part according to customer's needs.

Heat treating

Parts are vacuum heat treated, blanchard ground to ensure flatness, and hardness quality checked.

CNC Wire EDM

Precision wire EDM machines ensure correct wall size dimensions.

Nitriding

Nitrex Nitriding process ensures a quality nitride hardness.

Inspection

Dies and wall sizes are checked to customer's order. Wall sizes are logged to serial number of the die and kept for records.

Shipping of tooling

Tooling is shipped via best carrier for the region of the US being serviced. We are centrally located to most major interstates and are easily serviced by the majority of major freight service carriers. We work with our customers to supply the best shipping service available for you.
